Told Stevie it wasn't wet or frosty this morning .. made him get up to go out on his bike .. then it started snowing just as he was leaving and it was heavy snow at Houston !!! he thinks I was telling fibs on my first weather report of the day !!! oh hum !!! j
Snow was unbelievable at Kilmacolm - piled up high at the sides. Main roads ok - ish, fine back down at the Clyde.
Stevie led me out for a 30 sign coming back into Bishopton after a "spirited" ride back along the Westferry 10 course. By the time I got to the sign I think I was passed by an old dear on one of those powered shopping baskets , just as well the porridge was well digested by that time.
Was still awake at 2am so put off heading out early and set off at 11am to Strathblane. Lots of snow at the side of road but main roads were clear, passed a bad accident just before Balfron station with a landrover in the middle of the road and a white van on its side just behind it, looked like a nasty one. Police let me walk around though, turned up Indians Rd to Balfron, over the moors and back around to Ballet Toll and up to Killearn. Looking forward to tomorrow, Sun should be out!
